Ian Makgill
Ian is the Managing Director and creator of Ticon. Having over 10 years consulting and project management experience, Ian has conducted multiple research projects including market sizing for European Government payments and for prepaid in UK Government. Ian has also provided guidance to the National e-Procurement Project and was a co-author of the chapter on e-Procurement for the National Procurement Strategy. Ian holds a MA in Design for Interactive Media and has recently completed the Castle to Castle swim for the RNLI. Jemma Perry
Jemma is the Research Director and has been with Ticon since November 2007. Jemma has completed a Psychology BSc and Investigative Forensic Psychology MSc, with specialisms in research methods. Jemma co-authored the paper, which featured in the Journal of Intellectual Disability Research in April 2011, and psychology continues to be an interest of Jemma's. Jemma has supported and ensured the delivery of multiple research projects and most recently project managed research into the viability of a new financial product in European commercial markets. Sally Dixon
Sally is the Research Manager at Ticon and has been with the company since November 2010. After completing a History BA, Sally worked in recruitment and local government before coming to Ticon. Sally has since played a key role in supporting the delivery of the project office function and quality assured outputs for multiple research and advisory projects. Sally has project managed research into complex pricing analysis in Europe and has managed and written content for Ticon’s website and social media outlets, utilising Sally’s interest in technology. Bhavina Maistry
Bhavina has been a consultant at Ticon since October 2010, previously studying Law before being called to the Bar at Middle Temple in 2007. Being bilingual in English and French, Bhavina worked on the Paris Bar Exchange, and attained the Certificate of French Law and Legal Terminology, Legal Professionals and Judicial System. Bhavina’s university research dissertation, ‘Women as Company Directors’, honed her research skills, which were utilised in Ticon’s work into European Government payments, and analysing the viability of a new commercial financial product. Ozlem Akgul
Ozlem completed her BSc degree in Chemical Engineering and obtained her MSc in Chemical Process Engineering with Distinction in 2008, starting her PhD at UCL in the same year. She has made significant use of her advanced research skills, as well as strong attention for detail and fluency in Turkish, while working as a researcher for Ticon. Ernesto Beltrame
Ernesto completed his degree in Management Engineering, and achieved an MA in International Supply Chain and Logistics Management in 2010. Ernesto studied Research Methods as part of his MA, skills which were utilised in his role as a researcher for Ticon. Likewise, Ernesto’s fluency in Italian was extremely valuable to Ticon's European research projects. Monika Sujkowska
Monika has recently completed her MA degree in Economics at University College London, with a specialisation in emerging economies from Eastern Europe. Monika has worked for Ticon since July 2010 and has applied her analytical and research skills, as well as fluency in Polish, in a variety of projects for Ticon. Gerald Koessl
Gerald completed his MA in Sociology at the University of Vienna before commencing his PhD. Gerald has specialist knowledge of the sociology of work and economy, and economic research experience. Gerald is skilled in the application of visualisation methods to social and market research, skills utilised on Ticon research projects. To find out more, get in touch
