36% saving from prepaid cards
Increasing numbers of Local Authorities are using prepaid cards in response to the practical and bureaucratic challenges presented by Individual Budgets. Our analysis shows that Councils can expect a saving of 36% if they choose use prepaid cards to manage Direct Payments and Individual Budgets. Opportunities for significant efficiency savings through reduced administration processes, improved care monitoring and protected delegation of care commissioning to service users are some of the key benefits being realised through effective prepaid implementation. However, do you understand how to implement the cards and how to manage your prepaid programme?

Our latest white paper shows how prepaid can be a more efficient than using bank accounts and how organisations can use prepaid to deliver cost savings and better programmes for clients.

Prepaid for GPC goes live

Buying Solutions have signed a framework for prepaid cards with three Visa issuing banks. This framework means that public sector buyers can now use the GPC framework to buy prepaid without having to go to a formal tender. Buyers could use the mini-competition process to complete the procurement, or if they have specific needs that can only be met by one supplier, they can be called directly from the framework.

Ticon can help buyers understand how prepaid works, how to implement it and how to run a mini-competition for prepaid under the framework. To find out more email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
